what is this blog all about? you ask. this is a personal project and interest which has evolved from the global phenomenon of street style blogging.

i will highlight the lifestyle, spawning from the hip-hop to the hippie culture (and everything in between) that thrives within the santa cruz community. mainly the university of california, santa cruz, and pacific avenue, the main downtown strip, which lends its name to this blog.

this is the life and style of real people in the streets of Santa Cruz.

about Santa Cruz:

Santa Cruz is the quintessential California beach town. It was here that Hawaiian royalty first introduced surfing to the mainland--and locals and visitors alike have been riding the waves ever since. Not far from the surf break, screams of delight and laughter fill the air at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the West Coast's oldest seaside amusement park. A few blocks from the beach is Santa Cruz's downtown area.
